Everett Public Libraries offer many free programs and events!

Everett Public Libraries is one of the City of Everett's great resources and provides many programs for all age groups, for a comprehensive run down on both the Shute and Parlin Programs visit their websites by using the link within this story.

Pokemon Club
Parlin Memorial Library.

 Monday, February 25 at 3:30 pm

 Learn to code the fun way! LittleBits and coding come together on Monday, February 25 at the Parlin Memorial Library at 3:30 pm. Play with the coding functions, and build some cool projects. This program is intended for children aged 8 and older. All library programs are free and open to the public; there is no registration required. Please call 617-394-2306 for more information.


Homework Center

Parlin and Shute Memorial Libraries

Week of February  11th - 14th & 25th-28th, 4:00 to 5:30 pm

Monday through Thursday from 4-5:30 pm. Need help with your homework? We offer free homework help for students in grades 2-8 at the Parlin Memorial Library and the Shute Memorial Library everyday, Monday through Thursday, with the exception of February 18th to the 21st. Our Homework Center Coaches will help you achieve academic excellence with our tutoring services. Yarn Club  Parlin Memorial Library
Tuesday, February 12th & 26th at 3:30-5 PM

Come join us at Yarn Club! Learn how to crochet the basics! Supplies are limited to new participants. This program is for ages 11 and up. No registration is required. For any questions, please call the Parlin Library Information Desk at 617-394-2302.

Mystery Monday Book Club

Parlin Memorial Library

Monday, February 11th at 6:00 pm

Join us for the second Murder Mystery evening. We will discuss Kathy Reichs Deja Dead. You may be familiar with the TV series Bones, produced and inspired by the life of Ms. Reichs. She is a talented mystery writer, professor, forensic anthropologist and one of 100 anthropologist certified by the American Board of Forensic Anthropology. Valentine’s Paint Night

Wednesday, February 13th from 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Celebrate love and friendship with all your heart, and all your creativity, at the Parlin Library’s Valentine’s themed Paint Night! This event is for ages 13 and up. All materials will be provided. Book Date Night

Parlin Memorial Library 

Thursday, February 14 

Come to the Parlin Memorial Library to meet your dream book! On Valentine’s Day (Thursday, February 14) at 3:30 pm, the Parlin Library’s Children’s Room will have a great book “menu” of new offerings. This program is intended for children in grades 3-5 (although siblings will be welcome). The program is free and open to the public; no registration is required. Parlin Vacation Week

Week of February 20-22

Come to the Parlin Memorial Library for fun activities to fill your long, cold February Vacation Days! On Wednesday, February 20 at 11 am, join your friends and play with the Library’s new Nintendo Switch. Bring your favorite game, or play one of ours. On Thursday, February 21 at 11 am, performer Don Rovero will be running a ukulele program. Sing some songs, and maybe learn a few too! Space is limited for this program so please register at the Parlin Children’s Desk. Finally, on Friday, February 22 at 3 pm there will be a screening of the House with a Clock in its Walls. These programs are intended for children of all ages; the only program that requires registration is on Thursday, February 21. Please call 617-394-2306 for more information or to register.


 

Shute Vacation Week

Come by the Shute Memorial Library during the February Vacation for some family fun! On Tuesday, February 19 at 11 am, come play with the library’s PS4. Bring your favorite game, or play one of ours. On Thursday, February 21 at 1:30 pm, performer Don Rovero will run an instrument making program. Space is limited for this program, so please register at the Shute Children’s Desk.
