HELPFUL INFORMATION
FOR
April 30th
US SENATE PRIMARY
Tuesday, April 30th is the US Senate Special Primary. Polls will be open from 7AM-8PM.
Here is some helpful information from the
City Clerk’s Office and the Registrars
of Voters to make your voting experience more
pleasant:
Since this is a primary, unenrolled voters
(commonly called independents) will need to
declare themselves in order to vote. That
means, that they will have to choose in which
party primary they wish to vote. After voting
in the party primary of their choice, unenrolled
voters automatically remain unenrolled and
do not need to change their registration.
Democrat and Republican voters can vote in
their party’s primary only.
Libertarians, People’s Party or other
party designations cannot vote in this primary.
While the vast majority of voters do NOT
have to show identification, please bring
proper identification to the polls with you.
There are some instances where identification
is required.
If you are not sure if you are registered,
where you vote or don’t know your party
registration, call the Registrars of Voters
at 617-394-2296. They will be glad to help
you.
For further information, visit our website
at www.cityofeverett.com and click on the
City Clerk or Voter Registration link. There
you can view the ballot, look up your precinct
and polling place, download an absentee ballot
application and view the new precinct maps.
We hope this information has been helpful.
