DESCRIPTION:Mayor Carlo DeMaria is pleased to announce the City of Everett\, in partnership with the Boston Renegades\, will be hosting the Community Bowl on Saturday\, October 29th from 1:00PM to 5:00PM at Everett Veterans Memorial Stadium located on Cabot St. \nAs part of Mayor DeMaria’s “Everett For Everyone” initiative\, residents are invited to come watch the Everett High School (EHS) Alumni take on the Boston Renegade Alumni in a fun and competitive game of flag football. The goal is to bring the Everett community together to enjoy some flag football and help local resident Brandon Conde with his recovery from a spinal cord injury he suffered in 2019. \nMain Event\nThe event will have free admission for all who attend and will feature concession stands selling food\, drinks and merchandise from both teams. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting Conde’s recovery. \nThe event will begin with a pre-game tailgate from 1:00PM to 2:30PM for residents to come together\, play field games and have fun. The matchup between the EHS Alumni and Renegades Alumni will kick off at 3:00PM and will also feature a halftime show for all to enjoy. \nMeet the Teams After Party\nAfter the game\, there will also be a “Meet the Team Mixer” at the Schiavo Club located at 71 Tileston St. from 5:00PM to 10:00PM. Attendees 21 and older only are invited to attend to meet the players from both participating teams and support Brandon Conde through donations. There will be food\, a cash bar and plenty of fun. \nAbout the Teams\nThe EHS Alumni team will be comprised of football players who played in the championship seasons 2001\, 2002 and 2003\, which are known as the “three-peat” years. This is the time period when EHS football won the championship three years in a row. \nThe Boston Renegades is a professional women’s football team that is part of the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA). The WFA is a professional full-contact women’s football league that began in 2009 and consists of 64 active teams across the United States as of the 2022 season. The Renegades have won their seventh overall and fourth consecutive WFA Pro National Championship this past season. \nMayor DeMaria invites residents to enjoy a day of community and celebrating Everett’s charitable nature through a friendly game of flag football. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

DESCRIPTION:Mayor Carlo DeMaria invites all residents to join us for this event as part of the City of Everett’s celebration of Black History Month. \nThe event will include a photo exhibit\, curated by Everett residents in partnership with the City\, providing a glimpse into the memories and experiences of Black families with a long history of living in Everett through images of home life in “The Village” or “The Bottoms\,” to portraits of leaders in the community and beyond. The series provides the viewer with an opportunity to learn more about Black families who have had a presence in Everett – some for nearly two hundred years. The curators hope this exhibit will encourage more dialogue and exchange in Everett among all people and strengthen the bonds of community. The exhibit will be up for viewing February 11\, 2023 – March 3\, 2023.

Throughout the event\, our community will be creating and maintaining new life by planting trees and shrubs\, putting down mulch in wooded areas\, mixing and spreading seed to create wildflowers and creating homes for birds. DESCRIPTION:Take a break from electronic devices and let’s play outside!\nJoin us for Kids to Parks Day as we take part in the national initiative to get kids outside to utilize the valuable recreational resources that are our parks and playgrounds. \n \nKids To Parks Day is a nationally recognized day celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May. The goal is to get kids and families outside and off their electronic devices to utilize and enjoy their community’s recreational resources\, parks and playgrounds. The City is joining in the celebration by inviting our youth to participate in an event at Swan Street Park for all to attend. \nMayor Carlo DeMaria invites all families to enjoy various activities\, interactive games\, inflatable attractions\, characters\, face painting\, music and much more in celebration of Kids to Parks Day! \n
