SUMMARY:COA: Trip to Saint Anthony's Feast
DESCRIPTION:The Council on Aging has arranged for school bus transportation to Boston’s largest Italian festival\, Saint Anthony’s Feast. The bus will depart the Connolly Center at 10:45 a.m. and arrive as close to the festival as possible around 12 p.m. to view the grand procession featuring ten marching bands and the statue of Saint Anthony being carried by devoted followers. In addition to the procession\, enjoy street fare in one of the numerous restaurants in Boston’s North End. The bus will return to pick up participants at 3 p.m. as close to the original drop-off location as possible. Please note that there is a significant amount walking involved transportation will be in a school bus. To register\, please see Cathi at the Connolly Center.

Proof of Everett residency is required to participate and will be checked on site. \n\nAccepted Items\nGeneral Household Materials: Acids\, aerosol cans\, batteries\, art/hobby supplies\, moth balls\, oil-based paints & thinners\, varnish\, strippers\, solvents\, wood preservatives\, fluorescent bulbs and more. \nLawn & Garden: Gasoline\, fire starters\, pesticides\, herbicides\, pool chemicals and small propane tanks (for grills/camping). \nBathroom Products: Hair dye\, nail polish remover and toilet cleaners. \nLaundry: Bleach\, spray starch\, spot removers and whiteners. \nKitchen: Drain cleaners\, lighter fluid and oven cleaners. \nAutomotive: Antifreeze\, auto batteries\, brake fluid\, carburetor cleaner\, transmission fluid\, waste fuels\, solvents and degreasers. \n\nItems Not Accepted\n\n\nAppliances\, furniture\, bulk items or electronics. \n\n\nAmmunition\, fireworks\, explosives or gunpowder. \n\n\nMedical sharps\, prescription medications or radioactive materials. \n\n\nGas/metal cylinders (other than propane)\, asbestos or polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB). \n\n\nTires and latex paint (latex paint can be dried with kitty litter and placed in household trash). \n\n\nThe City reserves the right to exclude any other items that are not listed here but are not accepted by the hazardous waste company. \n\nFor more information\, please call 617-394-2270.
