“Everett Cultural Council SEEKS FUNDING PROPOSALS for community-oriented arts, humanities, and science programs due October 15. Community organizations, schools, and individuals are encouraged to apply for grants that support cultural activities, including exhibits, festivals, field trips, short-term artist residencies, or performances in schools, workshops, and lectures in the community. The state legislature provides an annual appropriation to the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, which then allocates funds to each community. This year, The Everett Cultural Council will distribute $20,700 in grants. Online submittal is the preferred method. Conservation Commission
The Everett Conservation Commission is a five member board which oversees the protection of wetlands and other water bodies in the City. Through the Wetlands Protection Act (WPA), the Commission reviews permit applications for development and construction work within the buffer zone of the Mystic, Malden and Island End Rivers in the City.
