The City of Everett is making holiday shopping and dining a little easier this season. Mayor Carlo DeMaria and the Office of the Parking Clerk announced that all metered parking spaces in Everett will be free for up to two hours throughout December.
When:
-
Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, through Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026
Where:
-
All metered spaces throughout the city
Details:
-
Motorists can park for up to two hours for free.
-
Parking beyond two hours may result in a ticket.
Why It Matters:
Supporting local businesses helps the community. Each dollar spent at small, independent businesses can return more to the local economy than money spent at chains or online retailers. Mayor DeMaria encourages everyone to shop and dine locally this holiday season.
“Small businesses help drive our economy, and I hope that by providing two hours of free parking, residents and visitors will shop local,” said Mayor DeMaria. “I wish you all a Merry Christmas and happy holiday season, and don’t forget to shop local.”
