Description:

Sealed bids for #25-51 On-Call Electrician Services Everett Public Schools will be received at the Purchasing Office, City of Everett, 484 Broadway, Room 14, Everett, MA 02149 until the time specified below at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read.  The selected contractor will be responsible for troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical systems and equipment within EPS facilities on an as-needed basis

Specifications and bid forms may be obtained online at the city website, Purchasing – Everett, MA – Official Website (cityofeverett.com).

General Bidders must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility in the Electrical category, along with an updated DCAMM Prime Update Statement (Form CQ3).

Bids will be opened in the Procurement Office of the City of Everett, 484 Broadway, RM 14, Everett, MA 02149, on July 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM.  Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a BID BOND or, CERTIFIED CHECK issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 5% of the bid price.

All bids for this project are subject to the applicable public bidding laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including but not limited to M.G.L. c.149, §§44A–J, and the prevailing wage requirements set forth in M.G.L. c.149, §§26–27H.  Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development, as well as the weekly certified payroll reporting requirements under M.G.L. c.149, §§26–27D.

Selection of the contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including evidence of past performance in similar projects, and bid price.  The contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder for the total amount bid for all three years.  It is the bidder’s sole responsibility to check for and acknowledge any addenda or updates to the bid documents. Failure to acknowledge issued addenda may result in the bid being deemed non-responsive.

The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the bids.

The City reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
