City government resource and referral office. Assists with food stamps, fuel assistance, eviction help, utility termination, MassHealth, food pantries, housing questions, and domestic violence resources.
A nonprofit organization committed to serving immigrant and marginalized communities in Greater Boston area. Provides immigration help, health insurance enrollment, housing applications, voter registration, mental health services (Project RISE), and community programs and events.
Offers immigration services, income tax assistance, document translation (Spanish & Portuguese to English), interpretation services, notarization, and help applying for ITIN numbers.
Founded in 2002 to serve the Latin American community. Promotes self-determination through basic services and civic participation. Helps with navigation of community resources and individual and collective development.
Free services for all immigrants. Provides immigration document guidance, referrals to legal agencies, spiritual support, and a bridge between immigrants and institutions. Run by Scalabrini missionaries with volunteers.
Helps immigrants in the Greater Boston area navigate available services, assesses individual situations, and creates a plan with direct services and referrals. Provides on-site mental health counseling and home visits.

Free legal assistance and representation on civil (non-criminal) matters for residents in Boston and 31 surrounding cities and towns, including Everett.
Serves survivors of domestic violence in Chelsea and surrounding communities including Everett.
Free, up-to-date statewide directory of non-profit immigration legal providers. Lists organizations serving the greater Boston/Everett area.
Largest immigrant rights coalition in New England. Provides know-your-rights materials, citizenship and ESL resources, health and social service links, and immediate services for refugees.
Free immigration legal services provided by law students supervised by licensed attorneys.
Free workshops, eligibility screening, and application assistance for U.S. citizenship, delivered by volunteers and pro-bono attorneys. Also hosts Boston Citizenship Day. Languages: Arabic, French, Haitian Creole, Spanish.
Emergency Hotline: Dial 211 from any phone for free, confidential referrals to local services including emergency immigration help, food, housing, and crisis support. Available 24/7 in multiple languages.
Healthcare Resources
Massachusetts offers some of the most immigrant-friendly health coverage in the nation. MassHealth (Medicaid) covers many immigrants regardless of immigration status. Emergency and preventive care may be available even without insurance.
Everett Haitian Community Center – Health Insurance Enrollment
The Everett Haitian Community Center helps residents enroll in health insurance plans and navigate coverage options.
Behavioral health clinics with individualized treatment and support. Includes Eliot Family Resource Center (EFRC). Serves Everett, Malden, Medford, and surrounding areas.
Free or low-cost health insurance from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Many immigrants qualify regardless of documentation. Apply through the Health Connector or city offices.
Project RISE – EHCC (Mental Health)
Emotional wellness support for immigrant communities using a racial equity lens. Non-clinical support, family connectors, and referrals to clinicians. Focuses on Haitian community but open to all.
Education, English Classes, and Employment
The Everett Public Libraries system hosts ESL programs, community resource navigation, and connects residents to numerous immigrant-serving organizations. Free and open to all.
Helps immigrant workers learn about workplace rights, immigration, and health equity. Empowers immigrants with knowledge to promote economic, social, and racial justice. Family Welcome Center provides emergency housing assistance.
Helps parents, children, and families find emotional support and practical assistance like food and basic needs, education, utilities assistance, legal aid, and summer camps.
FREE adult education GED and HiSET preparation classes plus ESOL — all fully online. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced ESL levels available.
Employment, educational, and community support services for refugees and immigrants.
Free, year-round ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes for immigrant adults in Greater Boston. Holistic approach: English + life skills + digital literacy + citizenship prep. Education and career advising available. Serves Everett, Malden, and Medford students.
Housing and Emergency Services
Provides emergency housing assistance and resources to new arrivals from many countries. Serves immigrant workers and families facing housing emergencies.
Helping end hunger with food pantries, Everett Mobile Market, grocery delivery, hot evening meals, and more.
Provides SNAP (food stamps), cash assistance, and transitional housing support. Many immigrant households may qualify. Apply online or at a local DTA office.
Handles housing questions, eviction help, utility termination assistance, fuel assistance (LIHEAP), and referrals to local food pantries and shelters.
Free answers to housing questions for tenants, landlords, prospective buyers, and homeowners. Helps maximize housing stability and minimize disputes. State-funded.
Massachusetts Statewide Resources
Free statewide directory of non-profit immigration legal services. Updated for 2025. Covers the Boston metro area including East Boston, Chelsea, and Everett-area providers.
State agency welcoming and empowering all immigrants in Massachusetts. Administers programs for direct services through a statewide network of resettlement agencies, faith-based, and community organizations. Includes quick-access resources for family emergencies, legal assistance, housing, healthcare, and benefits.
Largest coalition in New England promoting immigrant and refugee rights. Offers Know Your Rights materials, citizenship help, ESL resources, health and social services info, and refugee assistance.
Based in Boston, Lynn, and Worcester. Promotes acceptance and enhances quality of life for refugees, asylees, and immigrants through direct services and community support.
