The City of Everett has launched a new City Alert Program to keep residents informed during emergencies and other important community situations. The program uses Everbridge, replacing CodeRED, the City’s former notification service, and requires a new sign-up.

Participation is optional. Residents choose what contact information to provide and which types of alerts they want to receive based on their location and interests. Information is used for emergency alerts, public safety notifications, weather, traffic and parking updates, and other community information.

How It Works

When the City sends an alert, you will receive a message using the contact methods you selected, such as a phone call, text message, or email.

Some alerts may ask you to confirm that you received the message. If you confirm, no further contact attempts will be made for that alert. If you do not confirm, the system may continue attempting to reach you using your other selected contact methods.

Sign Up for Alerts

Create an account on Everbridge and enter your contact and location information in the City Alert system. You can also choose which notification alert categories you’d like to receive. For a full walkthrough, Everbridge has a video and written tutorial to help you sign up for an account.

All information you provide is kept strictly confidential.

Stop Receiving Alerts

You may stop receiving alerts at any time by logging into your account and removing your contact information or deleting your profile completely.
