Mission

The ECTV and Communications Department’s mission is to keep Everett residents informed, connected, and engaged with their local government. By promoting transparency, accessibility, and community voice, the department works to strengthen trust between City Hall and the community while providing platforms for residents to share information and ideas.

Function

The Communications team manages the City’s digital platforms, website, social media, and media relations to ensure timely updates reach the community. Everett Community Television (ECTV) hosts the city’s Public (Comcast Channel 9, RCN Channel 13), Educational (Comcast Channel 8, RCN Channel 15), and Government (Comcast & RCN Channel 22) stations, providing access to local meetings, events, and community programming. With a studio and office located at Everett City Hall, ECTV provides residents and organizations with training, equipment, and airtime to create and share local programming. Together, the department makes information accessible, highlights community events and services, and supports transparent engagement between City Hall and residents.
