Hazardous Waste Day 2025

Mayor Carlo DeMaria and the City of Everett invite residents to safely dispose of hazardous materials at Hazardous Waste Day. Proof of Everett residency is required to participate and will be checked on site.

Accepted Items

General Household Materials: Acids, aerosol cans, batteries, art/hobby supplies, moth balls, oil-based paints & thinners, varnish, strippers, solvents, wood preservatives, fluorescent bulbs and more.

Lawn & Garden: Gasoline, fire starters, pesticides, herbicides, pool chemicals and small propane tanks (for grills/camping).

Bathroom Products: Hair dye, nail polish remover and toilet cleaners.

Laundry: Bleach, spray starch, spot removers and whiteners.

Kitchen: Drain cleaners, lighter fluid and oven cleaners.

Automotive: Antifreeze, auto batteries, brake fluid, carburetor cleaner, transmission fluid, waste fuels, solvents and degreasers.

Items Not Accepted

• Appliances, furniture, bulk items or electronics.

• Ammunition, fireworks, explosives or gunpowder.

• Medical sharps, prescription medications or radioactive materials.

• Gas/metal cylinders (other than propane), asbestos or polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB).

• Tires and latex paint (latex paint can be dried with kitty litter and placed in household trash).

The City reserves the right to exclude any other items that are not listed here but are not accepted by the hazardous waste company.
