The City of Everett, in partnership with the Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), will host an Opportunity Fair on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Samuel Gentile Recreation Center, located at 47 Elm Street in Everett.
The event is designed to help local businesses, entrepreneurs, and service providers learn more about public contracting opportunities and the resources available to support business growth across Massachusetts. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with representatives from public agencies, organizations, and resource partners looking to work with vendors and service providers.
The Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office (SDO) works to expand opportunities for small businesses by connecting them with public contracting opportunities throughout the Commonwealth. Through certification programs, business resources, and outreach initiatives, the SDO helps businesses better understand the procurement process and how to position themselves for future opportunities.
The Opportunity Fair will provide attendees with information about how government contracting works, available business support programs, supplier certification opportunities, and ways businesses can become more competitive when pursuing public sector work. Whether a business is well established or just getting started, the event aims to help participants build connections and better understand the opportunities available through municipalities, state agencies, and partner organizations.
“This event is about helping businesses understand that there are opportunities available to them and giving them access to the information and connections that can help them grow,” said Mayor Robert J. Van Campen. “We want Everett businesses and entrepreneurs to feel empowered to participate in the process and take advantage of the resources available in Everett and across the Commonwealth.”
The event is free and open to business owners, entrepreneurs, contractors, vendors, and anyone interested in learning more about public contracting opportunities.
