Mayor DeMaria Announces Shredding Day for Residents
An opportunity for residents to properly shred and dispose of old or unwanted documents for free
Mayor Carlo DeMaria is pleased to announce the City of Everett will be hosting a shredding day for residents to shred and properly dispose of any old or unwanted documents. The shredding day will take place on Saturday, June 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rivergreen parking lot located at 1 Rivergreen Drive.
The City has partnered with Mass Bay Credit Union and Stericycle to provide the opportunity for residents to properly shred old documents that may contain sensitive details pertaining to their personal information as it is important to keep your private information protected. This event offers a chance to safely and securely shred these documents and any others you would like to discard.
“Properly shredding important documents containing sensitive information is important to keeping your private information protected,” said Mayor DeMaria. “We wanted to offer residents the chance to safely and securely dispose of these documents, and by partnering with Mass Bay Credit Union and Stericycle, we can ensure that these items will be properly shredded.”
Please be prepared to show proof of residency when you arrive because this event is for Everett residents only. Residents can bring many types of old or unwanted documents that are commonly found in homes, such as the following:
- Financial documents
- Medical records
- Newspapers
- Legal documents
- Receipts & invoices
- Tax records
- W-2 and W-4 forms
- Utility bills
- Bank statements
- Contracts
- Canceled checks
- Credit card statements
- Pay stubs
- Any other documents containing personal information
