You can also support broader relief efforts through trusted regional and national organizations:
Every donation, large or small, helps ensure that no one in our community goes hungry during this difficult time.

If Your SNAP Benefits Are Affected
Even if your SNAP benefits are delayed, it’s important to keep your application or recertification current. The Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance is still processing paperwork and once federal funding resumes, benefits may be issued retroactively.
- Consider enrolling in programs that continue operating such as WIC (for pregnant or postpartum women and children up to age 5) and state cash-assistance programs like TAFDC or EAEDC.
- Residents can also use their Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) credits within their SNAP benefits to help their food budget stretch further. By using your EBT card at participating farmers’ markets, farm stands, and mobile markets, you can earn additional funds each month to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. Learn more here: HIP program could help families impacted by the lapse of SNAP benefits
- SNAP recipients can use their benefits online through services such as GoPuff SNAP Coupon to purchase groceries and household essentials for delivery, with an additional $50 added to help extend benefits and ensure access to necessary items.
If you’re worried about food immediately, reach out to the local food pantries and programs listed above.
