The City of Everett and the New England Revolution are inviting residents to continue helping shape the future of a new waterfront park along the Mystic River.
Two community workshops will be held on Thursday, Aug. 13, and Thursday, Sept. 24, giving residents an opportunity to review emerging design concepts, ask questions and provide additional feedback on the proposed Waterfront Park.
The Aug. 13 workshop will be held virtually from 6 to 8 p.m. The Sept. 24 workshop will be held in person from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Connolly Center, 90 Chelsea Street.
The upcoming workshops build on the first community meeting held July 23 at Everett City Hall, where residents spoke directly with New England Revolution representatives and shared their ideas for the park. Community members will now have an opportunity to see how that feedback is helping shape potential design elements, amenities and programming for the waterfront space planned as part of the proposed New England Revolution stadium project.
“It is important to me that our residents have a say in the design of this incredible waterfront park right along the Mystic River,” said Mayor Robert J. Van Campen. “This park has the potential to become a gathering place for our entire community, and I want to make sure the people who will use it have a voice in shaping what it becomes.”
New England Revolution representatives will participate in both workshops to present design concepts, answer questions and hear additional ideas from residents.

The City of Everett encourages residents to participate in either workshop and continue sharing their ideas as the City and New England Revolution work to develop a waterfront park that reflects the needs and priorities of the Everett community.
