This September, the Everett Public Libraries invite residents to celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month by stopping by their local library and discovering everything waiting for them inside.
A library card gives you access to much more than books. From free classes and job resources to homework help, video games, streaming media, cultural events and welcoming spaces to read, study or connect, the Everett Public Libraries offer resources and opportunities for residents of all ages.
An initiative of the American Library Association, Library Card Sign-Up Month has been celebrated each September since 1987. Originally launched to coincide with the beginning of the school year and encourage families to make library cards part of their back-to-school routine, the month has grown into a nationwide celebration of everything local libraries have to offer.
This year’s theme, “A Library Card Hits All the Right Notes,” is a reminder that there’s something for everyone at the library, no matter your age, interests or goals. Whether you’re looking for your next great read, attending a program, finding a quiet place to study, exploring a new interest or building skills for the future, your local library is a place to learn, connect and discover something new.
This September, stop by the Everett Public Libraries to sign up for a library card and discover everything your local library has to offer. Already have a card? Visit the Everett Public Libraries website to learn more about the programs, resources and services you can access with it.
