Celebrate Black History Month at the Everett Recreation Center

All are welcome to celebrate Black History Month through a series of events at the Recreation Center

Mayor Carlo DeMaria invites everyone to celebrate Black History Month through sport at the Recreation Center where there will be live speakers, cultural food, movies showcasing Black excellence in sport, music and more. Attendees will also be able to learn more about Everett’s Black athletes through interactive learning stations.

The following is a list of the featured themes for each night:

• Tuesday, Feb. 20: Basketball Night.
• Wednesday, Feb. 21: Track and Field Night.
• Thursday, Feb. 22: Women of Color in Sport Night.
• Friday, Feb. 23: Football Night.
